- Shift: Day, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 – 16:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,240 – $2,400 (estimated)
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer (adult echocardiography)
- ARDMS certification (RDCS AE) required
- BLS (AHA) required
- Proficiency with Epic electronic charting system (Epic experience preferred)
- Experience in adult acute care environments including inpatient, outpatient, ER, and ICU
- Familiarity with echo equipment and PACS (GE, Philips, Siemens, Hitachi, Toshiba, SonoSite)
- Competent performing 2D/3D echo, Doppler, contrast imaging, TEE and stress echo
- First-time travel sonographers welcome if clinically experienced; must complete facility onboarding modules prior to start
- Ability to meet facility credentialing and onboarding requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive adult echocardiography and cardiac ultrasound exams: 2D/3D Echo, Color Doppler, Bubble Study, Contrast Imaging, Pharmacologic & Treadmill Stress Echo, and TEE
- Perform quantitative calculations (Simpson's Rule, diastology, LV strain/LV volume, PISA/Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area)
- Document and report findings accurately in Epic / Change Healthcare and PACS
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of echo machines (GE, Philips, Siemens, etc.)
- Collaborate with cardiologists, RN staff, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for adult cardiac patients in acute and outpatient settings
