- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,650 – $2,790
- Location: Brockton, MA (02301) — Massachusetts nursing jobs / travel RN
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN / Travel Nursing)
- Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 1, 2026)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (7:00am–3:30pm or 8:00am–4:30pm; may shift ±2 hours)
- Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed)
- Shift/On-Call: No weekends, no major holidays, no on-call requirement
Key Qualifications / Job Requirements
- ASN required; BSN preferred (Registered Nurse - RN)
- Minimum 5 years clinical nursing experience in trauma and emergency services (trauma nurse)
- Experience working in a Level 3 certified trauma center or higher (Level III trauma center)
- Performance Improvement (PI) experience required; trauma program coordination preferred
- At least 2 years in trauma program coordination, quality/performance improvement, or trauma registry data analysis preferred
- Experience with trauma registry software and familiarity with ACS trauma standards strongly preferred
- Current RN licensure in Massachusetts (compact license considerations if applicable)
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
- Preferred certifications: TCRN and TNCC Instructor
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills; experience with performance improvement metrics and benchmarking
- Proficiency in trauma registry software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting at trauma committees and accreditation surveys
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the Trauma Performance Improvement/Patient Safety (PIPS) program in collaboration with the Trauma Program Manager
- Assist the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Manager in evaluating trauma team effectiveness and clinical outcomes
- Participate in trauma performance improvement and patient safety forums, committees, and case reviews
- Facilitate performance improvement data collection, trauma registry management, analysis, trending, and benchmarking
- Ensure compliance with trauma standards and guidelines, including ACS trauma criteria and state trauma system regulations
- Develop and implement corrective action plans and performance improvement initiatives to improve patient safety and outcomes
- Educate multidisciplinary care teams on performance improvement processes, data interpretation, and best practices
- Participate in trauma center surveys, accreditation reviews, and readiness activities
- Serve as a liaison with external trauma agencies, state trauma systems, and regional trauma networks
