Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel assignment in Burlington, VT. 16-week travel contract in a teaching hospital (Adult ICU/ED/NICU Level III). Epic EMR and current RRT credential required.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,140 - $2,290 (Competitive travel respiratory therapist pay)
- Location: Burlington, VT 05401 – Waterfront on Lake Champlain, near the Green Mountains (Vermont respiratory jobs)
- Assignment Duration: 16 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 23, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (Monday–Sunday; schedule flexibility required)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit: Respiratory Care Services (Adult ICU, ED, NICU Level III; PICU preferred)
- Setting: Teaching hospital — ideal for respiratory therapists seeking growth and advanced clinical experience

Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required (CRT not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of RRT clinical experience — ICU, ED, or NICU experience strongly preferred
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (NRP must be submitted with application)
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Prior travel experience preferred (travel respiratory assignments)
- NICU Level III experience required; PICU experience preferred
- All specialties and full work history must be thoroughly documented
- Reliable transportation required (public transportation not accessible)
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care for adult ICU, ED, and NICU Level III patients in a fast-paced teaching hospital
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based respiratory therapy and ventilator management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (nursing, physicians, neonatal staff) to support patient outcomes
- Perform neonatal resuscitation and advanced respiratory procedures as required by NICU Level III
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in Epic EMR and ensure timely charting
- Adapt to flexible scheduling, including weekends and night shifts, and participate in bi-weekly orientations
