Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,120 - $3,290
- Location: Hyannis, MA (Cape Cod region) — Massachusetts nursing jobs / travel nursing opportunity
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 25, 2026 – August 22, 2026)
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 10-hour days (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- On-Call: Weekend and holiday on-call rotation required
Job Requirements (Qualifications)
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts (MA RN license required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
- ACLS Certification (must obtain within 6 months of position and maintain certification)
- Successful passage of facility's Pharmacology exam
- Successful passage of Basic Arrhythmia Program or challenge exam within 6 months
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience within the last 5 years (critical care nurse experience preferred for IR RN / interventional radiology roles)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Use of lead apron required
- BSN preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care through the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for interventional radiology procedures and peri-procedural care
- Administer and monitor patient responses to medications, IV infusions, and sedation following facility protocols
- Provide clinical support for IR procedures (e.g., vascular access, angiography, embolization) and ensure sterile technique and radiation safety
- Direct and guide patient care, teaching, and activities of ancillary personnel
- Maintain accurate and current patient records and document assessments throughout hospital admission, including physical, psychological, and social dimensions
- Initiate and communicate plan of care with allied patient care providers and the interventional radiology team
- Demonstrate proficiency in charge nurse responsibilities and Computerized Nursing Informatics
- Serve as a resource for patient care, staff orientation, and teaching
- Participate in unit staff meetings, mandatory programs, and ongoing professional development
- Adhere to safety and blood/body fluid policies and procedures and maintain patient confidentiality
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
