Job Details

• Location: Orange Park, FL 32073 (Northeast Florida — near Jacksonville, FL)
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse (CVOR RN)
• Start Date: April 27, 2026
• End Date: July 27, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 – $2,370 (travel nurse pay range)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift Duration: 10 Hour Days
• Shift: 10 Hour Days (6:00 AM – 5:30 PM), Monday–Friday with on-call, weekend, and holiday rotation
• Unit: CVOR (2 operating rooms) — Cardiovascular Operating Room
• Patient/Case Load: 1–4 cases per day (cardiac, thoracic, vascular)
• Documentation System: Meditech (electronic medical record experience preferred)
• Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs provided

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for assignment (Florida RN or compact/valid state license)
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year recent CVOR experience; travel CVOR RN experience a plus
• Strong clinical skills in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures (e.g., CABG, valve replacement, AAA, fem-pop bypass, CV/PV cases)
• Experience with perioperative roles: circulating and scrub responsibilities
• Excellent patient care, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with RNs, scrub techs, perfusionists, and surgical teams

Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub for cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases (cardiac surgery nurse duties)
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care in the CVOR
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Meditech
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays
• Support the cath lab or main OR when floating is required
• Uphold high standards of patient safety, infection control, and quality care
• Contribute to efficient case turnover and fast case times to support surgical workflow
