Join a dynamic Level 4 Labor & Delivery unit in the heart of Columbus, Ohio! We are seeking an experienced Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for a 13-week travel contract at a renowned medical center. This high-volume L&D unit handles approximately 450 deliveries per month. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 – $2,270 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse / L&D RN / Labor and Delivery Nurse
• Location: Columbus, Ohio (zip 43210) — Columbus, OH travel nursing job
• Setting: Level 4 Labor & Delivery Unit (approx. 450 deliveries/month) — high-volume maternity unit
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (6/28/2026 – 9/27/2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse (travel nursing contract)
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Orientation: 24 hours

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (maternal-newborn nursing experience preferred)
• Valid RN license: compact or Ohio RN license required at time of submission (Ohio travel nurse candidates welcome)
• Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced (NCC C-EFM acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Advanced)
• Epic charting system experience required (electronic medical record / EMR experience)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for second reference)
• Ability to float to Antepartum and other units within the organization as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive maternal-newborn care to neonates, adolescents, and adults in a high-volume L&D unit
• Administer blood and blood products, deliver antepartum and postpartum care, and support breastfeeding/lactation
• Assist with Cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, and multiple births; support intraoperative and perioperative maternal care
• Perform APGAR scoring, cervical cerclage assistance, and manage epidural anesthesia monitoring
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns using external EFM and internal monitoring (NCC C-EFM / fetal monitoring)
• Perform sterile vaginal exams, triage obstetrical patients, and provide wound care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, PT, RT, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Float to Antepartum and other units as needed within the organization
