Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse, Operating Room Nurse, Perioperative Nurse)
• Location: Paducah, KY 42003 (Paducah, Kentucky travel nursing job; western Kentucky)
• Setting: Main Operating Room (OR) – surgical nurse / circulating nurse role
• Duration: 13 weeks (April 30, 2026 – July 30, 2026)
• Shifts: Mid shift, 5x8-hour evenings (14:30 – 23:00), block scheduling
• Hours per Week: 40
• On Call: Every 4 weeks (nights and weekends only)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 – $2,370 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Orientation: 24 hours provided
• Scrubs Provided

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kentucky or any compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) RN experience as a perioperative/OR nurse
• Previous travel nursing experience required (travel RN)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficient with EPIC electronic health record and perioperative documentation
• Ability to circulate across multiple surgical specialties: General OR, ENT, Gyn, Neuro, Ortho, Spine, Plastics, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and more
• Two professional references required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed)

Key Responsibilities (Operating Room / Perioperative Nurse)

• Circulate and assist in a wide range of surgical procedures, including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, hysterectomy, craniotomy, orthopedic and spine surgeries, robotic procedures, and more
• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative patient care to a diverse population (adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics)
• Serve as a circulating nurse and collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretaries
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC and follow perioperative protocols
• Participate in on-call rotation every 4 weeks (nights and weekends only)
• Adhere to facility policies, infection control, sterile technique, and safety protocols
• Complete required orientation and annual modules for compliance and quality assurance
