Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist / Surgical Tech in a hospital setting (perioperative experience required)
• Previous travel assignment experience required (travel surgical tech)
• Trauma Level II experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred
• Experience with Epic electronic charting system preferred
• Community hospital and LTAC experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Ability to provide 2 professional references (including at least 1 from a manager, director, or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Urgent completion of Ohio fingerprinting process upon contract signing

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative support and assist in a wide variety of surgical procedures including orthopedic trauma, abdominal hysterectomy, neuro spine, craniotomies, transplant, robotics, burns, and bariatrics
• Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to sterile processing and infection control standards
• Prepare, handle, and label surgical specimens accurately
• Operate and support specialized surgical equipment such as Da Vinci Surgical Systems, Mazor robot platforms, and Cell Saver systems
• Participate in weekend on-call coverage as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations
• Follow universal protocols and safety standards in the operating room
• Maintain competency in OR instrumentation and engage in ongoing professional training
