• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980 - $2,080
• Position: Travel Nurse / Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry
• Location: Marshalltown, IA (50158) — Central Iowa nursing jobs
• Setting: Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit (16 beds)
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Schedule: Every 3rd weekend & holiday rotation
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 4/27/2026 – End: 7/27/2026)
• EMR: EPIC (experience with EPIC charting preferred)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience in a hospital or medical center — Med/Surg Telemetry RN required
• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate RN license (appropriate for travel nurse positions)
• American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) ACLS certification
• American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS certification
• Drip/IV medication experience required: Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, Amiodarone
• Orthopedic and general surgery post-op care experience required
• Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical/Telemetry required; telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills expected
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred
• Valid Driver's License required
• First-time travel nurses accepted — excellent opportunity for new travel RNs

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adults on the Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit as a Med/Surg Telemetry nurse
• Monitor and accurately interpret telemetry readings and cardiac rhythms
• Administer and manage continuous drips and IV medications including Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
• Care for post-operative surgical, orthopedic, and general surgery patients with strong clinical assessment skills
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using EPIC EMR and follow unit documentation standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations as part of the travel nursing assignment
