Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – 13-week travel assignment in Lubbock, TX (79410). Level II Trauma Center; 2+ years ER experience, Epic EMR, ACLS and BLS required. Join our travel nursing team delivering high-acuity emergency care in West Texas.
Emergency Nurse Job Details
- Location: Lubbock, TX 79410 (Lubbock healthcare jobs / Texas travel nursing jobs)
- Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center (trauma nursing, emergency medicine)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00), block scheduling
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
- Patient Ratio: 1:3
- Orientation: 36 hours

ER RN Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (required) — strong background in acute care and emergency nursing
- Active RN license (Compact license accepted; must be in hand at submission)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS (required); TNCC preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR charting system (required)
- Community hospital experience (required); Trauma Level II experience preferred
- LTAC and Trauma Level I experience (preferred)
- Ability to work block schedules, required holidays, and float to sister facilities when needed
- Must provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Emergency Nursing Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics in a busy ER (emergency nurse, critical care skills)
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:3 and provide rapid triage, assessment, and stabilization
- Respond to diagnoses including stroke, STEMI, trauma, respiratory distress, sepsis, and other acute presentations
- Utilize advanced emergency nursing skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, IV vasopressors, dysrhythmia recognition and management
- Coordinate care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and trauma surgery
- Document care using Epic EMR and adhere to hospital policies and annual training requirements
- Follow hospital dress code: solid navy blue scrubs for RNs
