• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 – $1,650
• Location: Westwood, NJ (07675) — New Jersey travel nursing, NJ nursing jobs
• Setting: Level II NICU / Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (community hospital)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 4/27/2026 – End: 7/27/2026)
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Travel Contract: Travel nurse assignment — local candidates within 50 miles not eligible
• Orientation: Weekly on Mondays (12 hours onsite)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of NICU RN experience required (2 years preferred) — experience in neonatal care and NICU nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), NRP Advanced, and STABLE
• Epic electronic health record (EHR) / Epic charting experience required
• Ability to float as a Baby Nurse as needed
• Patient ratio: 2:1 typical
• Travel nursing experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to neonates, including infants 29–34 weeks gestation
• Deliver neonatal care and perform clinical tasks such as APGAR scoring, arterial line management, and assisting with lumbar punctures
• Administer blood and blood products, anti-seizure medications, antibiotics/antivirals, and perform neonatal dosage calculations
• Manage respiratory support: Bubble CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, ventilators, and oxygen delivery systems
• Perform IV starts, maintain central lines, and manage chest tubes
• Monitor blood glucose, initiate phototherapy, and support breastfeeding and developmental care
• Attend high-risk deliveries and participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
• Provide patient/family teaching and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal neonatal outcomes
