• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,750 - $2,890
• Location: Tacoma, WA 98405
• Facility Setting: Pediatric Operating Room, Children's Hospital
• Assignment Dates: May 4, 2026 – August 1, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks (Travel RN assignment)
• Shift: 10-hour days (06:45 - 15:15)
• Hours per Week: 40 Guaranteed
• Weekend Rotation: None
• On Call: Optional
• Facility Details: 8 Operating Rooms
• Scrubs: Provided

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Operating Room Registered Nurse experience, with emphasis on pediatric and cardiac surgical cases
• Experience as a pediatric cardiac nurse or perioperative RN preferred
• WA state RN license or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) eligible
• Current BLS certification required
• Circulating pediatric cardiac experience required; scrub experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred for documentation
• First-time travelers are not considered for this assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for pediatric cardiac surgical patients, including congenital cardiac anomaly cases
• Circulate and scrub in pediatric cardiac procedures and maintain strict sterile technique
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and pediatric ICU providers to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient care and perioperative charts using Epic EMR
• Follow safety protocols, infection control standards, and pediatric perioperative best practices
• Optional: float to adult cardiac surgery cases as needed
