Job Details — Travel PTA (Artesia, NM)

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,580 - $1,700 (competitive travel PTA pay)
• Location: Artesia, NM (zip 88210) — New Mexico travel job, hospital-based rehabilitation
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 29, 2026 – September 28, 2026)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (closed 12–1pm); 8-hour shifts
• Weekend Rotation: 1 weekend every 5 weeks (inpatient coverage)
• Holiday Rotation: May be required
• Dress Code: Business casual (collared shirt, khaki/black pants) or solid colored scrubs
• Department Orientation: 1–2 shifts with a preceptor

Job Requirements — Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in New Mexico
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient PTA experience (inpatient-only experience considered)
• Open to first-time travelers — travel PTA assignments welcome
• Ability to complete required online/onboarding modules prior to start (up to 6 hours)

Responsibilities — Inpatient/Outpatient Hospital Rehab

• Implement individualized treatment plans for a variety of diagnoses including total joint replacements, spine/shoulder/foot pain, and neurological conditions (TBI, stroke, Parkinson's)
• Deliver hands-on care, guide functional exercises, and instruct on therapeutic equipment use
• Monitor and document patient progress in the medical record and report to the supervising PT
• Maintain clear communication with the supervising PT, interdisciplinary team, patients, and families
• Flex between hospital-based outpatient PT and inpatient MS-Rehab unit as clinical needs require
• Provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population (juveniles through geriatrics)
