• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980 – $2,080 (Travel Nurse pay)
• Location: Springfield, IL (Medical Unit 4) — Springfield healthcare jobs, Illinois nursing jobs
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 19, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (NOC), every other weekend; 48 hours per week (4 × 12-hour night shifts) is the standard schedule. If 36 hours per week (3 × 12-hour night shifts) is preferred, please inquire as limited flexibility may be available depending on facility needs. Ideal for Med/Surg RNs and travel nurses.

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of recent medical-surgical (Med/Surg) clinical experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
• NIHSS certification
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (2 attempts allowed) — cardiac rhythm competency preferred for med/surg nursing

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adults on Medical Unit 4
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and clinical progress in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, case management) to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following hospital policies and medication safety guidelines
• Provide patient and family education about diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to infection control and hospital standards
