Job Details

• Role: Travel Respiratory Therapist / Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,650 – $1,770
• Location: Mason City, IA (50401) — North Iowa respiratory therapist jobs
• Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Therapy Unit (acute care / hospital respiratory therapy)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 19, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every third weekend including Memorial Day — night shift respiratory therapist
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel Contract – travel RT opportunity

Job Requirements

• Active Respiratory Therapist license/certification (RRT)
• Minimum 1 year of recent hospital-based RRT experience
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every third weekend
• Completion of all required onboarding health screenings and competency tests

Preferred Qualifications (helpful)

• Experience with ventilator management and critical care (ICU/ED) respiratory support
• ABG interpretation, oxygen therapy, and pulmonary care experience
• BLS/ACLS or equivalent certifications (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to hospital patients, including assessment, treatment planning, and documentation
• Provide ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosolized/nebulized treatments, and airway care as appropriate
• Perform respiratory assessments, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatments based on clinical response
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to support optimal cardiopulmonary outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and safety standards
