This 17-week travel contract offers the opportunity to work in a modern acute care setting, providing high-quality patient care alongside a supportive staff. Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890 (competitive travel RN pay)
- Location: Albany, GA 31701 (Southwest Georgia travel nursing)
- Contract Duration: 17 weeks (Start: 4/27/2026 – End: 8/24/2026)
- Setting: Acute Care – Med/Surg Unit (44 beds)
- Shift: 12-hour days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
- Hours: 48 hours per week, guaranteed
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
- Orientation: 1 week general orientation, plus 2 days floor-specific orientation
Qualifications & Certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience (acute care experience preferred)
- Active RN license
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- NIHSS (AHA) certification required
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred (experience with other EMRs is a plus)
- Must meet a strict 75-mile radius requirement from the address on driver's license to hospital
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based patient care on the Med/Surg unit as a Travel RN
- Manage patient ratios of 1:5, occasionally 1:6, and collaborate with CNAs and nurse aides (ratios 1:8, generally 1:10)
- Float to acute care, cardio, or Emergency Center (EC) units as needed
- Participate in accurate charting and documentation using Meditech EMR (electronic medical records)
- Adhere to hospital policies, including coverage for weekends and holidays when required
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes and clinical workflows
