• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130 (competitive travel nurse pay)

• Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center, Emergency Department (ED), Acute Care
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (Emergency Room / ER nursing, night shift)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend rotation
• Charting System: EPIC (electronic medical record experience preferred)

Job Requirements (ER RN / Travel Nurse)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or application in process (compact license considerations for travel nurses)
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; PALS (or ENPC) and TNCC (or TNS) required for ED/trauma
• Minimum 1 year of recent ER nursing experience in an emergency department or trauma center
• Clinical skills: proficiency with titration of vasopressor, cardiac, and antihypertensive drips
• Experience interpreting cardiac rhythms and responding to life-threatening situations (code response)
• Experience in a teaching hospital or working with residents preferred; prior travel assignment preferred
• SANE RN experience preferred
• Negative drug screen and standard travel nurse screening required

Responsibilities (Emergency Department)

• Provide high-quality care to patients across the lifespan, from newborns to elderly, in a busy ER setting
• Respond to cardiac arrests, strokes, acute coronary events, and major trauma with ED/trauma protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including ED physicians, charge nurses, respiratory therapists, and ED techs
• Perform clinical tasks: draw labs, assist with respiratory equipment (ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen)
• Interpret and act on cardiac rhythms using Phillips monitors and other ED-specific monitors
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC per hospital and regulatory standards
• Serve as a team resource; may float to other units as needed (rare)
• Adhere to department scheduling, weekend rotations, and holiday requirements
