- Estimated Travel Nurse Pay (Weekly): $1,800–$1,890
- Location: Albany, Georgia (zip 31701) — Georgia travel nursing, Albany, GA
- Assignment Duration: 17 weeks (April 27, 2026 – August 24, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights, Thursday–Sunday (blocked schedule)
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
- Care Setting: Acute care, Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg RN)
- Charting System: MEDITECH (EMR experience preferred)
- Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
- Floating: Med/Surg floats to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW — float nurse responsibilities
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Med/Surg RN experience plus 1 prior travel assignment, OR 4 years Med/Surg RN experience without travel
- Active RN license: Georgia RN or Compact RN license (required)
- BLS Certification (AHA preferred) and either ASLS or NIHSS Certification required
- EMR proficiency required; MEDITECH experience preferred
- Ability to float between units and adapt to changing assignments during shifts
- Must comply with strict 75-mile radius rule
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in the Med/Surg unit as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and document care accurately in MEDITECH
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Float to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units as needed — support varied acute care nursing needs
- Participate in floor-specific orientation and ongoing training for travel nurses
- Work every other weekend and rotate holidays with permanent staff
- Maintain professional licensure and certifications throughout the assignment
