- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week) — Night Shift Respiratory Therapist

- Licensure: OH and KY license preferred (licensed respiratory therapist)
- Float Requirement: Willingness to float within the Cincinnati market required
Required Qualifications
- Current RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist) — NBRC credential preferred
- Valid state license for Ohio (OH); Kentucky (KY) license preferred
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist; critical care / ICU experience a plus
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary hospital team
- Strong patient communication, education, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care and patient transport per physician orders in a hospital setting
- Manage ventilator settings, perform ventilator management and weaning protocols, and monitor ventilation efficiency
- Perform arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation, oximetry and capnography monitoring
- Conduct physician-prescribed treatments using ventilators, oxygen therapy, aerosol devices, and nebulizers
- Provide chest physiotherapy, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and assist with chest tube management
- Assist with bronchoscopy procedures and other pulmonary procedures as directed
- Perform 12-lead EKGs, basic arrhythmia recognition, and pulmonary function testing
- Insert and remove endotracheal tubes, set up respiratory equipment, and ensure proper equipment operation and safety
- Maintain accurate records of treatments, patient response, billing/charging for respiratory therapy, and follow lab specimen handling policies
- Participate in shift hand-offs, communicate therapy effectiveness to physicians, and respond to code events per BLS/ACLS protocols
- Provide patient and family education on respiratory treatments, equipment, and discharge instructions
