• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,570
• Location: Chicago, IL 60607 (Downtown / Central Chicago)

• Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Hours per Week: 36

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Valid respiratory therapist certification or state license (RRT preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of hospital respiratory therapy experience (acute care / critical care experience preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to work independently on night shift with minimal supervision
• Strong communication, patient education, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities

• Provide intensive respiratory care and safe patient transport per physician orders
• Evaluate patients, recommend respiratory treatment plans, and implement prescribed therapies
• Administer ventilatory support (invasive and non-invasive), manage mechanical ventilation, and titrate oxygen therapy
• Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, continuous oximetry and capnography monitoring, and review chest x-rays
• Perform 12-lead EKGs, basic arrhythmia recognition, and pulmonary function testing
• Assist with bronchoscopy, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and arterial puncture as required
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and ventilators; ensure equipment safety and cleanliness
• Document treatments and patient responses accurately, communicate with physicians, and participate in shift-to-shift handoffs
• Maintain accurate respiratory therapy charging and complete other duties as assigned
