• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 – $1,540
• Location: Baldwyn, MS 38824 — Northeast Mississippi nursing job in a welcoming community
• Setting: Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) — travel LPN, LTAC nurse role
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 6, 2026 – August 2, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (6:45 AM – 7:08 PM)
• Hours per week: 36
• Schedule: Flexible; may include Mon, Thu, Fri & Tue or Wed, Sat, Sun
• Float Requirement: Yes, float to units within competency
• Travel Nursing Focus: Ideal travel LPN role for nurses with ventilator and LTAC experience

Job Requirements

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse LPN license with IV certification; must meet Mississippi licensing requirements
• Minimum 2 years of LTAC experience required; ventilator and trach care experience required
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• BLS from AHA required; ACLS preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; strong first-time travelers will be considered
• Strong clinical skills in geriatric, post-acute, ventilated, and rehab patient care
• Must not have worked perm or per diem at NMMC in the last 12 months
• Compliance documents required 7 days before start date
• Ability to float to units within competency and maintain flexible availability

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside nursing care for geriatric, post-acute, ventilated/trach, and rehab patients in an LTAC setting
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and monitor ventilators as appropriate for LPN scope of practice
• Collaborate with RNs, Nurse Practitioners, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR and maintain clear communication during handoffs
• Float to other units within competency as needed to support patient care
• Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and adherence to infection control protocols
• Demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and commitment to the contracted travel nursing assignment
