- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (3 shifts per week, 36 hours/week) — Night Shift Telemetry RN

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active RN license in North Carolina or current Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years recent Telemetry / PCU / stepdown nursing experience
- EPIC charting experience preferred; prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Must pass Telemetry List B and Relias competency exams (up to 2 attempts allowed)
- Competent in tracheostomy (trach) care and respiratory management
- Must reside outside an 80-mile local radius for travel eligibility
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality cardiac and telemetry nursing care with a typical patient ratio of 1:4 in the stepdown unit
- Continuous cardiac monitoring, assessment, and timely response to changes in patient condition
- Manage central lines, tracheostomies, and advanced respiratory needs
- Administer and titrate IV drips including cardiac medications, insulin, and heparin infusions
- Perform IV starts, peripheral and arterial blood draws, and other skilled nursing procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, case management) to ensure safe transitions of care
- Document accurately in EPIC (or hospital charting system) and comply with hospital policies and telemetry protocols
