• Location: Sullivan, IN 47882 (Sullivan, Indiana)
• Role: Travel Surgical Tech / Surgical Technologist / OR Tech
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Operating Room (OR)
• Assignment Length: 8 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Days – 4x10 or 5x8 (6:00am–4:30pm, 6:00am–2:30pm, or 7:00am–3:30pm)
• Start Date: ASAP (typically within 2 weeks from offer)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist in the operating room
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA required
• Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) preferred; willingness to perform CSFA duties
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Experience performing and cleaning endoscopes; endoscopy tech experience a plus
• Ability to clean and set up OR rooms, perform point-of-use cleaning when on call
• Experience with TruBridge / Evident charting system is a plus (documentation skills preferred)
• Strong sterile technique, teamwork, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in a wide range of surgical procedures as a Surgical Technologist and Surgical First Assist when required
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain the operating room and surgical instruments; ensure proper sterile technique
• Perform endoscopies and ensure proper cleaning, handling, and maintenance of endoscopes
• Clean and organize surgical rooms, including point-of-use cleaning during on-call shifts
• Document procedures accurately using TruBridge / Evident charting system and adhere to hospital documentation standards
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia team to support optimal patient outcomes and OR efficiency
• Follow infection control policies, patient safety protocols, and OR best practices
