• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) — night shift ICU nurse
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48)
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required — experience as an ICU RN / critical care nurse
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license: Iowa or Compact RN license accepted
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• ACLS (AHA) certification required
• PALS (AHA) certification required
• CPI certification required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Experience with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive drips preferred
• Driver’s license
• First-time travel nurses welcome — supportive orientation provided

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult patients as an ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
• Monitor patient conditions including cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and ventilator settings
• Administer medications, including IV infusions and titratable vasoactive agents, and perform complex nursing interventions
• Respond to rapid response events and support Code Blue situations as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists) to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Document patient care and progress accurately using Epic EMR (EPIC)
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as required
• Participate in orientation, unit-based education, and ongoing professional development
