- Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse / Critical Care RN
- Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – critical care, ventilator management, cardiac monitoring
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: April 27, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) — night shift ICU nurse
- Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48)
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
- Employment Type: Travel, On-Site — travel nursing job
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required — experience as an ICU RN / critical care nurse
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license: Iowa or Compact RN license accepted
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- ACLS (AHA) certification required
- PALS (AHA) certification required
- CPI certification required
- TNCC certification preferred
- Experience with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive drips preferred
- Driver’s license
- First-time travel nurses welcome — supportive orientation provided
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult patients as an ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
- Monitor patient conditions including cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and ventilator settings
- Administer medications, including IV infusions and titratable vasoactive agents, and perform complex nursing interventions
- Respond to rapid response events and support Code Blue situations as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists) to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Document patient care and progress accurately using Epic EMR (EPIC)
- Float within the same discipline across local campuses as required
- Participate in orientation, unit-based education, and ongoing professional development
