- Start Date: May 11, 2026
- End Date: August 2, 2026
- Contract Duration: 16 weeks
- Shift: 12 Hour Days (07:00 – 19:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890 (competitive weekly pay for travel nurses)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), preferably in LTAC, telemetry, or critical care
- Active Missouri RN or multi-state RN license (must be attached to resume)
- ACLS & BLS certifications required (American Heart Association)
- Hands-on ventilator management and tracheostomy care experience required
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and care of medically complex patients
- Ability to maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and delegation skills
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
- Care for ventilated and tracheostomy patients, including ventilator settings, weaning protocols, and trach care
- Monitor cardiac telemetry, recognize changes in patient status, and intervene appropriately
- Demonstrate leadership in planning and delivering safe, evidence-based LTAC care
- Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience; supervise and direct assigned personnel
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families; participate in discharge planning and transitions of care
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in ongoing education to uphold clinical competencies
