• Unit: LTAC / Telemetry (Long-Term Acute Care)
• Start Date: May 11, 2026
• End Date: August 2, 2026
• Contract Duration: 16 weeks
• Shift: 12 Hour Days (07:00 – 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890 (competitive weekly pay for travel nurses)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), preferably in LTAC, telemetry, or critical care
• Active Missouri RN or multi-state RN license (must be attached to resume)
• ACLS & BLS certifications required (American Heart Association)
• Hands-on ventilator management and tracheostomy care experience required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and care of medically complex patients
• Ability to maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and delegation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Care for ventilated and tracheostomy patients, including ventilator settings, weaning protocols, and trach care
• Monitor cardiac telemetry, recognize changes in patient status, and intervene appropriately
• Demonstrate leadership in planning and delivering safe, evidence-based LTAC care
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience; supervise and direct assigned personnel
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families; participate in discharge planning and transitions of care
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in ongoing education to uphold clinical competencies
