Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (medical-surgical and telemetry nursing)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or Compact State (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (active, not pending)
• One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in Med/Surg Telemetry required
• COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Must be able to complete BCI/FBI fingerprinting and facility badging onsite prior to start date

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit, including patient assessment and care planning
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to telemetry alarms, and escalate changes in patient condition appropriately
• Administer medications, perform accurate clinical documentation, and use electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Participate in orientation, competency validation, and ongoing training modules as required
