Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — acute care experience preferred
- Active NBRC certification (RRT) and current BLS from AHA required (active and in hand at time of submission)
- Active Ohio Respiratory Therapist license required (active and in hand at time of submission)
- CRT or RRT credentials accepted where applicable
- Must be nicotine-free (smoke-free facility) — negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start
- COVID-19 and influenza vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Two professional references from a manager, supervisor, ANM, or director in the specialty (from assignments worked in the past 12 months)
- Ability to float as needed to Cleveland Clinic facilities on the West Side (Hillcrest, Avon, Medina, Lutheran)
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care and patient-centered services in a hospital setting
- Provide ventilator management, airway support, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory interventions as indicated
- Perform respiratory and neuro diagnostics, including pulmonary function support and monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, physicians, PT/OT) to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, patient response, and procedures in the medical record
- Float to other Cleveland Clinic facilities as needed and adhere to facility-specific protocols
- Follow hospital policies, compliance requirements, and safety standards; participate in required pre-start and annual modules
