Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (with potential to extend)
- Location: Midland, TX 79701 — Texas radiology jobs / Midland healthcare jobs
- Setting: Community Hospital Radiology Department (high-volume, fast-paced)
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (8-hour evening shifts)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,850 – $1,990
- Start Date: 4/27/2026 (start within 3-5 weeks preferred)
- Holidays: Must be available to work holidays that fall during your assignment
- On-site Position: Travel Radiology Technologist / Imaging Technologist role
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) or Radiologic Technologist
- Active ARRT (R) certification required
- Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (TXMRT) license accepted pending submission; must be active prior to start
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience in Trauma Level I and II settings required — trauma imaging experience preferred
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record/charting system preferred
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- Must pass on-site drug screening
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiology procedures including abdomen (supine, upright, decubitus), chest (AP, lateral, decubitus), extremities, spine, skull, trauma cases, and portable imaging
- Support special procedures such as barium studies, myelography, C-Arm procedures, and operating room imaging as needed
- Provide imaging services to all patient populations: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Follow infection prevention, isolation precautions, and radiation safety protocols to ensure patient and staff safety
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced community hospital
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in the electronic health record (EHR/Cerner)
- Demonstrate flexibility to work holidays as required by the assignment
