• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,350 – $1,420 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Corpus Christi, TX 78411 — Texas nursing jobs, Corpus Christi healthcare
• Setting: Inpatient Rehab Facility (15 beds) — rehab nurse / med/surg unit
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7p–7a) — night shift RN, travel nurse
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; holidays as scheduled

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Texas or compact state (eligible for travel nursing in Texas)
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• Minimum 1 year Med/Surg nursing experience; inpatient rehab or rehab nursing experience preferred
• EMR proficiency — Meditech preferred; accurate documentation and charting experience
• Transfer training and experience with transfer equipment (Hoyer lift, sliding boards)
• Rehab scoring documentation experience preferred (functional outcomes, therapy notes)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical support skills for a collaborative med/surg/rehab environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care for up to 15 patients per shift with an expected 5:1 (max 6:1) patient ratio
• Perform patient transfers, bladder scans, dressing changes, and safe medication administration
• Use and maintain clinical equipment: VS machines, transfer equipment (Hoyer lift, sliding boards), EKG, bladder scanner, and Pyxis
• Accurate, timely documentation in Meditech EMR and participation in bedside report/handoff
• Participate in hourly rounding, ensure bed alarm activation, and follow unit safety guidelines
• Float as needed to Med-Surg, Telemetry, Renal, Urology, Orthopedic, and Overflow units (excluding ICU)
• Demonstrate initiative, clinical judgment, and teamwork as part of the interdisciplinary rehab care team
