Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 – $1,840
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / Travel Registered Nurse)
• Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Setting: Operating Room (OR) – perioperative / surgical services
• Shift: Days – 4 x 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) with on-call responsibilities
• Hours per Week: 40
• Location: Crestview, FL 32539 (Okaloosa County / Northwest Florida / near the Emerald Coast)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an OR Circulator RN (perioperative nursing / surgical RN)
• Active RN license (compact license preferred for travel nurses)
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Experience with robotic surgery preferred; familiarity with laparoscopic and open cases a plus
• Strong teamwork, communication, and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary surgical team
• Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical counts, instrumentation, and perioperative patient safety protocols

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative care as an OR Circulator and scrub/assist as needed during surgical cases
• Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in the operating room
• Anticipate and plan for patient care needs throughout surgical procedures to support optimal patient outcomes
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR techs, and other staff to ensure efficient case flow
• Ensure supplies, instrumentation, and equipment are available and sterile; maintain accurate surgical counts
• Communicate effectively with families and surgical teams; update physician preference cards and document care in the EMR
• Support and supervise personnel delivering patient care in the OR and contribute to a culture of patient safety
