Job Details

• Location: Utica, NY 13502 — Utica healthcare, Central New York travel nursing
• Job Type: Travel RN / Travel Registered Nurse
• Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) / Cardiac Stepdown (Telemetry)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) – Night shift RN
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 29, 2026)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,100 – $2,210 (competitive pay for travel nursing jobs)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York (NY) — verification via NURSYS required
• Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience in IMCU/PCU/Cardiac Stepdown or telemetry; travel RN experience preferred
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS certification required
• Experience with EPIC EMR (electronic medical record) required — strong documentation skills
• Skills checklist matching cardiac/IMCU specialty (temporary pacers, arterial lines, chest tubes, telemetry)
• Up-to-date resume and valid driver’s license with matching address
• Ability to float to other units as needed and work with adult patient populations (18+ years)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with cardiac, neuro, trauma, respiratory, and post-operative diagnoses
• Monitor telemetry and manage specialty cardiac equipment including temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, Neptune Vapo, and chronic vents (with RT assistance)
• Assess patient condition, implement and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Accurate, timely documentation in EPIC EMR and adherence to clinical policies
• Float to other units as required to support patient care needs and unit staffing
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures (including uniform guidelines such as navy blue scrubs)
