Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 – $2,080

• Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Care Unit (critical care / adult patients)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour evening shifts (nights), 36 hours per week

Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements

• Current Virginia Respiratory Therapist license (RT-VA) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent critical care respiratory experience
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
• Seasonal flu shot required

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care to complex, multispecialty adult patient populations
• Evaluate and assess patients' respiratory status; recommend and implement appropriate respiratory therapy
• Deliver ventilator support and weaning per hospital protocols, and administer oxygen therapy and noninvasive ventilation as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (nurses, physicians, and allied health) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to hospital policies, and follow infection control standards
