• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM), every other weekend required
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel / Contract

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU / critical care nursing experience, including cardiac care
• Experience with IABP, Impella, CRRT, and Day 2/Day 3 post-op CABGs
• Active RN license in Nebraska or multistate compact RN license (must meet state requirements for travel nurses)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• EPIC electronic charting experience
• Willingness to float to PCU and Med-Surg units as needed
• Pediatric critical care experience highly preferred (patients under age 8)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care as an ICU RN for adult and pediatric patients (including children under age 8)
• Manage complex diagnoses including post-op open hearts, CHF, COPD, overdoses, sepsis, CVAs treated with TPA, DKA, and select neuro cases
• Operate and monitor advanced cardiac devices and therapies (IABP, Impella) and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
• Float to PCU and Med-Surg based on unit census and staffing needs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Level III trauma acute care setting to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using EPIC to meet clinical and regulatory standards
• Adhere to scheduling requirements, including weekend coverage and up to 2 extra shifts per 6 weeks
