• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights), 3 shifts per week, weekend blocks, on-call/callback as needed
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,090 – $2,200

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years clinical experience as an RN in pediatric cardiac care, pediatric ICU, or critical care nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NY license only)
• Experience with telemetry and cardiac monitoring
• Current BLS (American Heart Association)
• Current PALS (American Heart Association)
• Strong assessment, communication, and family-centered care skills for complex congenital cardiac cases

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with congenital and acquired cardiac conditions
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and vital signs; respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, perfusion, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver state-of-the-art medical and surgical care
• Participate in pre- and post-operative cardiac care, hemodynamic management, and advanced cardiac support as indicated
• Engage in long-term follow-up planning, patient and family education, and discharge coordination
• Serve as charge nurse as needed and participate in on-call/callback rotations
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold best practices in patient safety and quality of care
