Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,100 - $2,250 (competitive travel MRI pay)
• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 — hospital MRI technologist role
• Setting: Hospital – Level 1 Trauma Center (acute care, high-volume imaging)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days — Saturday, Sunday, and Monday; 7:00am – 7:30pm
• Employment Type: Travel MRI Technologist (short-term assignment)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience as an MRI Technologist / MRI Tech in a hospital setting
• Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging, radiologic technology, or related field
• ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) – MRI
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• IV/Contrast injection certification with demonstrated injection experience
• Experience operating GE MRI scanners and familiarity with MRI protocols
• Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center preferred
• New York State Radiologic Technologist license required (must be willing to obtain after starting if not already licensed)

Responsibilities

• Operate GE MRI scanners efficiently and safely, following established MRI protocols
• Perform patient screening for MR safety, patient positioning, and protocol selection to ensure image quality
• Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures to ensure comfort, and address questions about MRI exams
• Insert IVs and perform contrast injections as required for imaging tests, maintaining injection documentation
• Coordinate with radiologists, physicians, and clinical teams to provide accurate diagnostic imaging
• Document exams in PACS/RIS and maintain accurate patient records while protecting patient confidentiality
• Maintain a clean, safe scanning environment and adhere to infection control and MRI safety standards
• Assist with patient care tasks as needed in the imaging department
