Travel Radiology Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,830 – $3,040
  • Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (Rochester, New York; Upstate NY)
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
  • Shift: 4 x 10-hour days (day shift)
  • On-Call: 1–2 times/week and 1–2 weekends/month (on-call/callback as needed)

Required Qualifications – Radiologic Technologist / RT (ARRT)

  • Valid Radiologic Technologist license in the state of New York
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
  • BLS (American Heart Association) certification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist; neurosurgery/neuroscience experience required
  • Interventional Radiology (IR) experience preferred; training provided for RTs from other modalities
  • Proficiency with PACS, RIS, and Hospital Information Systems (HIS)

Key Responsibilities – Interventional Radiology Technologist (Neuro)

  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic and interventional neuro procedures (angiography, fluoroscopic studies) and consistently produce diagnostic-quality images
  • Assist interventional radiologists and neurosurgeons during neuro IR and endovascular procedures
  • Operate and maintain x-ray, CR and DR systems, angiography suites, and fluoroscopy equipment
  • Administer oral contrast per protocol and follow medication security and patient confidentiality procedures
  • Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime
  • Document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS and maintain timely communication with physicians and clinical staff
  • Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, professionalism, and patient-focused bedside manner during high-acuity cases
  • Participate in hospital performance improvement and quality assurance activities related to medical imaging

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong clinical skills in medical imaging, fluoroscopy, and neurointerventional techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced interventional radiology suite and respond to on-call/callback situations
  • Excellent communication skills when answering technical inquiries from physicians and staff
  • Familiarity with endovascular procedures, vascular access imaging, and neurosurgical support preferred
