Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 8, 2026)
• Role: Travel Radiologic Technologist / Radiology Tech (Rad Tech)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,150 – $2,310
• Healthcare Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center – Rochester, NY
• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (local candidates and traveling RNs/Techs welcome)
• Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 3:30pm – Midnight (5 x 8-hour evening shifts)
• On Call: 2–3 call shifts per month (must report within 30 minutes)
• Holidays: As needed per unit requirements

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Completion of formal training from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist license or ability to obtain prior to start
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an X-ray Technologist / Radiology Tech, with recent Level 1 trauma center OR experience
• Recent hands-on experience (within the past 8 months) using c-arm and o-arm imaging systems
• Familiarity with PACS, electronic patient information systems, and dual patient identifier procedures
• Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods; able to respond on-call within 30 minutes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; commitment to patient-centered care

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to diagnostic imaging procedures
• Operate x-ray, c-arm, and o-arm equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic and intraoperative images
• Position and assist patients of all ages, including trauma patients and those with limited mobility
• Provide clear explanations to patients and family members, ensuring compassionate patient care
• Maintain radiation safety and ALARA principles to minimize patient exposure
• Support sterile technique and OR imaging workflows during surgical and trauma procedures
• Monitor patient status, document findings, and maintain accurate records in PACS and EMR systems
• Promptly report equipment issues and collaborate with biomedical engineering and management
• Work closely with surgeons, ED staff, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional trauma imaging services
