• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090 - $2,200
• Location: Elizabeth City, NC 27909 (Elizabeth City nursing jobs, North Carolina travel nurse)
• Setting: Medicine Unit 3 – Progressive Care Unit (PCU / Step-Down)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 19, 2026 – July 19, 2026)
• Shift: Night shifts (19:00 – 07:00) — Night Shift RN / Travel RN
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Employment Type: Travel (travel nurse opportunity, PCU travel nurse)

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or from a compact state
• Previous experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or step-down setting preferred
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implement nursing interventions, and administer medications
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, discharge instructions, and recovery
• Accurately document patient care, assessments, and clinical progress in the medical record
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
