Travel Postpartum RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Location: Boston, MA 02215 (Boston healthcare opportunity)
• Setting: Obstetrics Postpartum Inpatient Unit (Postpartum RN / OB RN)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend rotation, Monday starts (night shift travel nurse)
• Hours per Week: 36 (72 hours biweekly guaranteed)
• Employment Type: Travel (travel nurse / travel RN)
• Holiday Coverage: Required (seasonal coverage)

Postpartum RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent postpartum RN experience (Postpartum RN / OB RN)
• Active Massachusetts RN license at time of submission (Massachusetts RN / MA RN)
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• High-acuity obstetrics and postpartum care experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required (travel nurse experience preferred)
• Experience with magnesium drips and telemetry highly recommended
• Must not have worked at Beth Israel Lahey Health in any capacity (perm, per diem, or travel) within the past 6 months
• No local candidates considered

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based postpartum care to patients and families (postpartum care, maternal care)
• Monitor and assess postpartum patients, including high-acuity cases and those requiring telemetry
• Administer medications and treatments, including magnesium drips and emergency interventions
• Perform newborn assessments and provide support for lactation and patient education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (OB, lactation consultants, neonatology, physicians) to ensure optimal outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required (travel RN weekend coverage)
