Travel Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN) — 13-week contract in Boston, MA 02215. Night shift travel nursing opportunity for experienced Postpartum RNs with an active Massachusetts RN license and 2+ years postpartum experience.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
• Location: Boston, MA 02215 (Boston healthcare / Massachusetts nursing job)
• Setting: Obstetrics Postpartum Inpatient Unit (Postpartum RN / Maternal-Newborn)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 4/27/2026 – End: 7/25/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend rotation, Monday starts
• Hours: 36 hours per week (72 hours biweekly guaranteed)
• Holiday Coverage: Required (seasonal coverage)

Job Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license at time of submission (Massachusetts RN)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Postpartum RN experience in an inpatient obstetrics/postpartum setting
• Prior travel nursing experience required (Travel RN / Travel Nurse)
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• High-acuity patient experience required; maternal-newborn / postpartum high-acuity preferred
• Experience managing magnesium drips and telemetry highly preferred
• Must be separated from BILH for at least 6 months if previously employed (perm, per diem, or travel)
• No local candidates will be considered

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum patients in an inpatient Obstetrics Postpartum Unit
• Monitor and assess high-acuity postpartum patients, including those requiring magnesium drips and telemetry
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (OB/GYN, lactation consultants, pediatric/newborn care teams) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate and support new mothers and families during the postpartum period, including discharge teaching and breastfeeding support
• Maintain accurate documentation, clinical assessments, and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and required holiday rotation
