Travel Med/Surg Telemetry RN – Nights in Columbus, OH (43210). Seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for a 16-week travel contract on a Med/Surg Telemetry Oncology unit. - Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
- Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Columbus nursing jobs, Ohio travel nurse)
- Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry Oncology Unit (Med/Surg Tele RN, Oncology RN)
- Contract Duration: 16 weeks
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights; 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30) — Night shift Travel RN
- Hours per Week: 36
- Start Date: June 29, 2026

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) with min. 2 years recent RN experience; at least 1 year in current specialty (Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Oncology preferred)
- Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission (Ohio travel nurse candidates encouraged)
- BCLS certification required
- EPIC charting experience required (EPIC experience for Telemetry/Oncology documentation)
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
- Seasonal flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Oncology experience preferred but not required; previous travel RN experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with oncology diagnoses (breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, esophageal cancers) and sickle cell crises
- Continuous cardiac/telemetry monitoring related to chemotherapy administration and telemetry RN duties
- Symptom management for disease treatment or progression and comorbidity management
- Strict adherence to infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention strategies
- Use and troubleshoot specialized equipment: GE telemetry monitors, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, arterial blood gases (ABGs), and arterial lines as indicated
- Perform vascular access skills: accessing ports, central/PICC line care, IV starts, and blood product administration
- Assist with chest tube insertion/removal and care for patients on high flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
- Required to float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed (flexible Travel RN mindset)
