• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); option to flex to 4x12
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site
• Unit: Emergency Department (ED)
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• EMR: Meditech experience preferred (Meditech EMR)

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience required; 3+ years preferred (will consider first-time travel nurses with 3+ years ER experience)
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state license
• Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• CPI/CIC certification preferred (can be obtained onsite if assignment exceeds 3 months)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions considered)
• Strong triage, IV management, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency medication administration skills

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced emergency department
• Triage patients, initiate and maintain IV access, administer blood products, and manage dysrhythmias
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and administer IV vasopressors per protocol
• Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols to maintain patient and staff safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response teams
• Document patient care accurately and timely using Meditech EMR (or related electronic medical records)
• Work scheduled weekends and holidays as required; support team staffing needs for night shift coverage
