- Start Date: April 20, 2026
- Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); option to flex to 4x12
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site
- Unit: Emergency Department (ED)
- Patient Ratio: 4:1
- EMR: Meditech experience preferred (Meditech EMR)
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience required; 3+ years preferred (will consider first-time travel nurses with 3+ years ER experience)
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state license
- Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- CPI/CIC certification preferred (can be obtained onsite if assignment exceeds 3 months)
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions considered)
- Strong triage, IV management, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency medication administration skills
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced emergency department
- Triage patients, initiate and maintain IV access, administer blood products, and manage dysrhythmias
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and administer IV vasopressors per protocol
- Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols to maintain patient and staff safety
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response teams
- Document patient care accurately and timely using Meditech EMR (or related electronic medical records)
- Work scheduled weekends and holidays as required; support team staffing needs for night shift coverage
