Job Details
- Position: Travel EP Lab Technologist / Electrophysiology Technologist (Cardiac EP Technologist)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 - $2,180
- Location: Washington, DC 20010 (Washington, DC travel job)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/11/2026, End: 8/10/2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07:00 - 19:30) or 4x10-hour (07:00 - 17:30); includes 2 days of late case coverage per week
- Hours per Week: 36
- Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital – high-volume EP Lab, excellent for career growth in cardiac electrophysiology
- Scrubs Provided
- Daily Caseload: Average 18 cases (typical EP Lab / device workload)
Job Requirements (EP Lab / Cardiac Electrophysiology)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in an EP Lab or as a Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist (EP Lab tech experience required)
- Licensure: DC Radiology License (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCES or RCIS
- Preferred Certifications: ARRT, Fluoro permit
- Experience with Cerner charting system and electronic health records (EHR)
- Proficiency operating Philips and Siemens X-Ray systems and GE Micropacer
- Ability to pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
- Seasonal flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Two supervisor references required
Responsibilities (EP Lab Technologist / EP Lab Tech Duties)
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac electrophysiology studies and ablations (atrial flutter/fibrillation, SVT, ventricular tachycardia)
- Assist with device implants and explants including Watchman, Aveir, pacemakers, ICDs/defibrillators, and lead extractions
- Support Head-Up-Tilt testing, external/internal cardioversion, and internal loop recorder procedures
- Monitor, obtain, and interpret EKGs and hemodynamic tracings; recognize sinus node and lethal rhythms
- Operate and maintain EP Lab equipment (Philips/Siemens X-Ray, GE Micropacer) and ensure accurate documentation
- Maintain sterile field, assist with groin closure devices, and support laser lead extraction procedures (preferred experience)
- Collaborate with cardiologists, RNs, and interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, high-acuity teaching hospital environment
