- Location: State College, PA 16801 (Pennsylvania oncology job)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
- Shift: Day Shift, Monday–Friday (as early as 7:00am–3:30pm to as late as 8:30am–5:00pm)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Summary
We are seeking compassionate, skilled Oncology Registered Nurses (Oncology RN / Travel Oncology Nurse) to deliver high-quality cancer care in a collaborative clinical environment. This role emphasizes chemotherapy and infusion nursing, patient education, and multidisciplinary coordination in a welcoming college-town community.
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience (chemotherapy/infusion experience preferred)
- Completion of ONS bio/chemo or fundamentals course (2-year certification) OR ability to complete within 2 weeks of hire
- BLS certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider), current
- Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines
- Experience with chemotherapy administration, infusion pumps, and oncology patient education; OCN or oncology specialty certification preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care for oncology patients following established clinical standards and best practices
- Administer a variety of medications and treatments, including chemotherapy and biologic agents, and manage infusion therapy
- Demonstrate clinical judgment in triage, symptom management, and oncologic care planning
- Assist providers with procedures and deliver patient and family education on treatment plans, side-effect management, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Utilize clinical equipment for examination and treatment procedures and maintain accurate documentation (including ICD-10/CPT basics)
- Respond calmly and effectively during emergency situations and escalate concerns appropriately
- Ensure patient safety, follow infection control and chemo handling precautions, and adhere to institutional policies
