Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,110 – $2,220
• Location: Bristol, CT 06010 — Connecticut travel nursing opportunity
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00am – 7:00pm)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel (Travel Nurse / Travel RN)
• Unit: ICU (Intensive Care Unit) – 14 beds (critical care, stepdown, med-surg overflow)
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: Rotating with permanent staff

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent ICU RN or critical care nursing experience (ICU travel nurse experience preferred)
• Active RN license (compact or CT RN license required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Proficient in reading and interpreting cardiac monitor strips
• Comfortable titrating common ICU drips and advanced critical care medications
• Ability and flexibility to float to Med-Surg or ER as needed (helping hands only)
• Experience working with diverse patient populations and multicultural teams
• Familiarity with MEDITECH charting system is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care for a mix of ICU, stepdown, and med-surg overflow patients
• Manage and titrate common ICU drips and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Interpret cardiac monitor strips and collaborate with the care team on acuity changes
• Work closely with multidisciplinary team members including hospitalists, intensivists, CNAs, and respiratory therapists
• Participate in self-scheduling and block scheduling as finalized by the manager
• Float to Med Surg or ER to support staffing needs when required
• Maintain a positive, drama-free work environment and professional bedside manner
• Document patient care accurately using the MEDITECH electronic health record
