Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program; ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M) required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire)
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist; mammography, CT, MRI or related modalities preferred
• Experience with electronic imaging systems (PACS) and RIS/HIS or EHR preferred
• Strong patient communication and breast imaging skills; experience with screening and diagnostic mammography preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic and screening mammography exams and other radiologic procedures as needed
• Provide patient education, compassionate patient care, and clear communication before, during, and after imaging exams
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, including FDA mammography regulations and ALARA radiation safety principles
• Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in EHR/PACS and ensure proper image labeling for diagnostic interpretation
• Coordinate and support breast imaging programs, including QA/QC, image review, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Assist with other imaging modalities (CT, MRI, DEXA) as needed to support the imaging department
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, coordinate preventative maintenance, and maintain supply inventory
• Demonstrate schedule flexibility, including on-call, overtime, or holiday coverage when required
• Uphold patient confidentiality and professional standards in all clinical interactions
