• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 – $1,820 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Florence, AL 35630 (Florence, Alabama travel nurse opportunity)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/4/2026 – End: 8/3/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (07:00–19:00), rotating weekends
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric (medical-surgical patients)
• Unit: 18-bed Med-Surg floor (Medical-Surgical RN / Med/Surg RN)
• Electronic Health Record: Meditech
• Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs

Job Requirements – Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience (medical-surgical nursing)
• Active RN license (Alabama RN license or multistate/compact RN license valid in AL preferred)
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Strong team player with ownership of responsibilities and excellent clinical judgment

Responsibilities – Med/Surg Nursing Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on the Med/Surg unit
• Manage patient assignments with typical ratios of 1:6 (medical-surgical patient load)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document care and interventions in the Meditech EHR
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage as scheduled
• Maintain professional standards and adhere to facility policies and clinical protocols
