Job Details

• Location: Mayfield Heights, OH 44124 (suburban Cleveland, OH)
• Position: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse
• Contract Length: 14 weeks (April 26, 2026 – August 2, 2026)
• Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry (3 Main Unit) – acute care, cardiac telemetry
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30), 3 shifts/week (36 hours/week)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nursing
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 18 months recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• Active Ohio RN license (permanent or multistate compact) — Ohio travel nursing candidates encouraged
• Current ACLS and BLS required; NIHSS certification required (active, not pending)
• One supervisory reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in Med/Surg Tele specialty
• COVID-19 and seasonal Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate competency assessments during orientation
• Background check and fingerprinting required prior to start
• Preferred: Telemetry certification or critical care experience (e.g., CCRN) and recent EHR documentation experience

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, respond to telemetry alerts and changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately per facility policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, case managers, and ancillary services to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient assessments, care, and interventions accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Provide patient and family education on care plans, discharge instructions, and cardiac self-care
• Participate in unit-based safety initiatives, maintain compliance with policies, and support quality improvement efforts
• Assist with rapid response and emergency situations as needed (code response, ACLS protocols)
