Night-shift MRI Technologist travel job in Charleston, SC (29425) — 13-week contract at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital. Join a dynamic radiology team at Ashley River Tower and provide advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population in Charleston, South Carolina.
Job Details – MRI Technologist Travel Position
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 – $2,060
- Location: Charleston, SC 29425 (Charleston MRI jobs, Charleston healthcare)
- Facility Type: Teaching Hospital, Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 4x10-hour shifts (8:00 PM – 6:30 AM) — MRI technologist night shift role
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-call: Not required
- Holiday Coverage: Required if scheduled
- Charting System: Epic experience preferred
- Scrub Color: Teal top, black bottom
- Parking: Nights and weekends only; one-time $20 parking pass
Job Requirements – MRI Technologist Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience, preferably in a hospital/trauma setting
- Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required (Siemens MR systems)
- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- Certification: ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT (Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs and cover multiple units
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- First-time travel MRI technologists accepted
Responsibilities – MRI Technologist Duties
- Perform high-quality MRI scans for adult and geriatric patients in a hospital setting
- Operate and optimize Siemens MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images
- Prepare and administer contrast media safely and according to protocol
- Document procedures and patient information using the Epic charting system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Radiology, IV Teams, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
- Maintain MRI safety protocols, screening, and isolation precautions (PPE)
- Float to other units within scope as needed to support facility operations
- Participate in emergency response and preparedness activities (including hurricane season June–November)
- Adhere to facility scheduling, guaranteed hours, and patient care standards
