- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,660 – $1,780 (Competitive travel respiratory therapist pay)

- Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Therapy Unit (acute care, med/surg, PCU)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night Shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36

- Weekend Coverage: Required
- Floating: May be required between campuses
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or respiratory therapist in acute care
- Valid Ohio state respiratory license required — Ohio license for respiratory therapists
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
- ACLS and BLS certifications required (certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- High school diploma plus college diploma or official transcripts required
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record/charting system preferred
- Previous travel assignment experience preferred (travel respiratory therapist experience)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly
- Two professional references, including one from a manager/director or formal leadership
Key Responsibilities — Respiratory Therapist / RRT
- Provide respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients on med/surg floors and PCU (hospital respiratory therapy)
- Manage mechanical ventilation and ventilator weaning; operate GE and Hamilton ventilators
- Perform procedures including aerosol setups, BiPAP/CPAP management, airway placement and suctioning, extubation, and pulmonary hygiene
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and manage high flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
- Administer respiratory medications (Albuterol, Atrovent, Flovent, etc.) and collect sputum specimens
- Provide tracheostomy care and troubleshoot high-pressure alarms
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in critical care and step-down settings
- Float between campuses as needed to support hospital respiratory therapy coverage
